Miniature hotel

So its been a relatively quiet weekend here at APCA (aside from the 3 day wedding next door!!)  Seriously they certainly party hard when it comes to weddings and I know the summer is popular back home, but I think the same is true here, as whilst cycling to the market I must have gone past at least another two!!

Aside from that my weekend has been quiet and I spent most of yesterday how I would convey to my students the different kinds of hotel rooms for Monday's class.  It occurred to me that perhaps pictures alone would not be clear enough for what hotel rooms look like (or for that matter schematic diagrams) so I decided to set to work on some Blue Peter style hotel rooms.  Below are my efforts, didn't  manage to make any sinks or toilets for the bathrooms and proportion is rather out, but for some colored card, a pair of scissors and some sellotape, not a bad effort I think!!  I would like to point out the standard, double double, and suite rooms I managed to construct!!

Oh one other thing the children are OBSESSED with Justin Bieber here, girls and boys, somehow this teen superstar has eluded my horizon over the last year, I guess grad school put me right of the cool scale and pop culture that has been apparently gripping the rest of the world!!!  Bieber Fever is  alive and well here in Cambodia!!
