So seems like I'm settling into a new if what some what slower routine here at APCA...I realize why everything takes so long as I was washing my clothes this morning. When you have no modern gadgets that allow you to put your clothes in the wash and go and do other things or food in the microwave while you check you email etc all day can be consumed with the basics, cleaning yourself, your house, your clothes and making food!!!
On that note, the internet is a bit slow too, so uploading video is hard, I will try again when I am in Siem Reap and have some better wifi so slip and slide footage can be seen!!
I must thank Prof. H at this point for spending so much time in OB with high/low context cultures and power distance relationships...all coming in quite handy when trying to understand the cultural differences!!!
Also decided to go for a run this evening once a little cooler, result: white girl running on the road in rural Cambodia = much confusion, MANY MANY STARES from everyone!!! Some wolf whistling and hollering ( which of course I don;t understand!!) I think they were confused why anyone in their right mind would go for a run just for well fun or exercise!!! It reminds me of how the students on the hotel trip in PP last weekend were mezmorised by people running on treadmills!! Its funny what one gets used to!!
